John A. (Jack)
John A. (Jack) Jonelis, 79, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 29, 2002.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren and loyal dog Jamie.
He first moved to Prescott, AZ in 1986 with his wife Marguerite, to retire. They moved to Sun City in 1993.
John was born in Lowell Indiana, and grew up in Chicago Illinois. He served in the Army during World War II and then moved to Indianapolis Indiana after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While working for Bell Laboratories and then Western Electric Company, he became a Senior Design Engineer specializing in Value Engineering. He was a former past president and vice president of the Society of American Value Engineers (S.A.V.E.).
He loved spending time at the family farm, gardening and closely following the successes of his children and grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on December 7, 2002 at St. Cements of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City, AZ 85351. A celebration of his life was held immediately following the service at 10214 Desert Rock Drive, Sun City, AZ. Donations on his behalf can be made to the American Cancer Society.
