TAYLOR, Lucille J.


Lucille J. Taylor, 91, of Tempe, passed away December 1, 2002, after a long illness. A resident of Arizona for 44 years, she was born in Mantua, Utah July 7, 1911. A graduate of Utah State University, she began her teaching career at the age of 19 and taught in Utah, Oregon and Nevada for seventeen years prior to moving to Arizona, where she taught in the Scottsdale School District for eighteen years. After her retirement, she continued to help both children and adults learn the joy of reading. Her skill and compassion as a teacher touched many lives. She is survived by her children, Joan Nagle (Brian), Harold Taylor, and Layna Taylor her grandchildren, Joshua Taylor and Taylor Nagle, her great-grandchildren Zachary and Alexa Taylor, many nieces and nephews and their families, and many loving friends, who will miss her presence in their lives and remember her always. Visitation was Sunday, December 8, 2002, at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Road, Mesa. Services were Monday, December 9 at the Corona II Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1111 E. Knox Road, Tempe. Lakeshore Mortuary. The Arizona Republic. December 5, 2002
