The Arizona Republic 3/28/2010 Robinson, Florence T., 94, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Loveland, CO, passed away March 23, 2010, in Chandler, Ariz. Florence Evelyn Taylor was born March 26, 1915, to Raymond and Alice Stevenson Taylor in Chittenango, N.Y. She married George H. Robinson on May 15, 1936, in Canastota, N.Y. Florence graduated from Chittenango High School and Oswego Normal School in Oswego, N.Y., where she received her teaching degree. She taught elementary school for the Canastota Central School District until her retirement in 1970. She lived in Canastota, Verona Beach and Oneida, N.Y. before moving to Loveland, Colo. in 1974. While in Loveland, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved the Colorado mountains and was a member of the Mountain Rovers hiking group. From Loveland, she became a world traveler. She moved to the Phoenix area in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Rees and husband Robert of Loveland, and Janet Tassie and husband James, Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Raymond Taylor of Loveland; four grandchildren, Robert Rees, Gary Rees and Ronald Rees, all of Loveland, and J.T. Tassie, of Chandler; four great-grandchildren, Dana Rees of Austin, Texas; Michael Rees of Leadville, CO; Cory and Ashley Rees of Loveland CO; and two great-great-grandchildren, Cooper and Teagan Rees of Leadville; numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Robinson; and an infant brother, Albert. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at The Welter Retreat House, 21619 S. 138th Street, Chandler, AZ 85286 Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Canastota, N.Y. in May. The family extends their gratitude to Florence's caregivers, Elsa Mendivil of Chandler; Marie Neeley, Cindy, Rita and Louis of Desert Gardens Assisted Living in Ahwatukee; and the wonderful people from Hospice of the Valley.
