GREEN, Dorothy

Dorothy Green was born October 28, 1909 in rural Bryant, Indiana, passed away March 20, 2001. Her husband: Roy; parents: Issac and Cora Reichard; and sisters: Olive and Kathleen preceded her in death. Her daughter: Dorothy Neuendorf; her grandchildren: Leann Rozich-Pine and Robert Rozich; great-grandchildren: Christen Rozich-Trope, and Nathan Pine survive her. Whether it was visiting retirement homes to sit and chat with the residents, or baby sitting at the church Dorothy was always on the volunteer list. Dorothy loved people. Up until about 6 months ago, Dorothy would leave very early every Thursday for the brown Bag Warehouse where she would help fill hundreds of bags with surplus food and distribute them to the members. Dorothy loved bright colors, especially red and purple. Every Sunday for church she would wear a colorful outfit with a hat to match. Dorothy was a charter member of Love Baptist Church joining in 1973 when she moved to Glendale from Detroit, Michigan. She spent 40 years in Detroit as a loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother and homemaker. She was an expert seamstress. Working out of her home in Detroit & Glendale she made many people smile with her words and work. Dorothy has touched and influenced many people along her journey through life and family and friends will miss her. She led a Christian life and we know her reward is an eternal journey with God at her side. Contributions can be made to Love Baptist Church, 3030 W.
