Ajo Copper News, Ajo, Arizona Septemver 21, 2005 Connie Sue Vickers, 56, died September 3, 2005, after a battle with cancer. She is remembered for her gardening, craft making, fish catching, and cooking — especially for her homemade apple pies and cheesecake. Mrs. Vickers was a former resident of Ajo and her husband, Rick Vickers, is a native of Ajo. At the time of her death, they were making their home in Glendale. She is survived by her husband, Rick Vickers; by her parents, Maude & Fred Lewis; by her sons, Frank & Paul Potemski; by her daughter, Dawn Hopkins; and by her grandchildren, Tori Potemski and Zack Hopkins. A private wake was held by the family in celebration of her life.
