MCFARLAND, Lucille M.

Ajo Copper News 10/3/2005 Lucille M. McFarland, 84, died at her home in Ajo on September 26, 2005. She was born February 2, 1921, in Appaloosa, Louisiana, the daughter of Virginia (Caneretta) & Vincent Perrone. She came to Ajo from Phoenix about eight months ago. A homemaker, she loved to dance and sing and was a tap dancer in her youth. She played the steel guitar. Mrs. McFarland enjoyed her two grandchildren immensely and was fond of babies in general. Her family says she would always stop and talk to the little ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McFarland. Mrs. McFarland is survived by her daughter, Linda May of Ajo; by her son, Lloyd Michael May of Ann Arbor, Michigan; by her brothers, Mike Perrone of Benton Harbor, Michigan, John Perrone of Trona, California; Robert Perrone of Benton Harbor, Michigan; by her sister, Mary Ann Ludwig of Lubbock, Texas; and by her granddaughters,Kathleen Mays of Phoenix and Dawn Mays of Ann Arbor, Michigan. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are being made by Douglass Funeral Home.
