O'Brien, Albert Earl born August 8, 1935 Ogden, Kansas, died peacefully March 26, 2010 surrounded by family. He is the son of Albert Sr. and Bessie O'Brien. He is survived by his wife Mary Louise Holcomb. They were married April 15, 1986. Four step-children: Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Colleen Nalbone, Glendale, Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. Claude and Michelle Short, Yucca Valley, California, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell and Mary Jo Skinner, Duarte, California, and Catherine Nalbone, Lakeside, Arizona. Eleven Step-Grandchildren that loved and knew him as "Grandpa" and also twelve Step-Great Grandchildren that also loved and knew him as "Grandpa".
Albert attended Kansas State University, where he played football making an interception completed as a Touchdown. The US Army was served from January 1953 to April 1959, discharged honorable with the rank of First Sergeant. The US Army tours showed him Europe, Korea, and eventually Japan, where he recovered from wounds in service during conflict. Albert worked in Plumbing Industrial Wholesale in Southern California. He next went to Arabia for two years working in the Oil Well Industry. The rest of his career was as a Contractor building Gas Stations all through California, parts of Arizona, and Nevada. When he retired he moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. He will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.
