Moulinier, Marian Higginbottom
January 11, 1928-March 28, 2010. Marian H. Moulinier, a 30 year resident of Sedona, Arizona slipped away to be with the Lord on March 28th. Marian was born the 3rd child of Mary Olson and John Logan Higginbottom, a telegraph operator in Murray, Utah on January 11, 1928. Marian's parents died in 1940 and she went to live with an aunt and uncle in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1949. While in Nursing School she met and later married John Rodman (Rod) Moulinier. They had 4 children before moving to Scottsdale, AZ in 1954. In 1956 they had a second set of twins. The family were members of Saint Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church where Marian was very active. She was also active in the Scottsdale Girls Club Guild, the Phoenix Zoo Auxillary, the PTA, the Calvary Church of the Valley and Casa de Amigas Auxilary.
In 1982 Marian moved to Sedona where she was active at Sedona Christ Center, served a term as President of The Verde Valley Guidance Clinic and was a volunteer at the Sedona and Verde Valley Medical Centers. Marian wanted to be remembered for her "walk with The Lord." She was a dedicated Christian and witness for Jesus Christ. Her family and friends will also remember her as a gracious hostess, a wonderful cook and a Prayer Warrior with a genuine caring for others. She was direct, had an uncompromising nature and lived her faith. She enjoyed RVing and camping, was a dog and a bird enthusiast, and a dedicated gardener.
Marian is preceded in death by a son Philip Price Moulinier and her brother William Higginbottom . She leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law, Rowena & Ed Morelock of Pennsylvania, her sons William Redwood (Red) (& Barbara) in Rehoboth Beach, DE, Edward Logan (& Lisa) of Lewes, DE Robert Cardwell (& Deirdre) of Sedona, AZ, Michael Elliot (& Marie) of Philadelphia, PA and a daughter Margaret Haviland Capozio of Lewes, DE, 14 grand-children and 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 100 Arroyo Pinon Drive, Sedona, AZ 86336 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Marian's name to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, PO Box 2013, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
