Long-Time Phoenician Dies at 93 George W. Copeland, 93, a resident of Phoenix 53 years, died Monday (Nov. 30, 1964) in a Phoenix hospital. Mr. Copeland, born in St. Helen, Oregon, farmed most of his life. Recently, he resided at Wingfoot 21 in Litchfield Park. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald in Mesa. Burial will be in Mesa Cemetery. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Merdick of Goodyear; three grand-children, and three great-grandchildren survive. The Arizona Republic and Gazette Thursday, December 3, 1964.
