Cande was born December 8, 1951 in Guadalajara, Spain as the fourth child of Julio Sanchez Jadraque and Cirila Hita Roman. She left this earthly existence March 27, 2010 at the age of 58, surrounded by family and friends. She was fluent in three languages and certified as an English Spanish translator by the University of Arizona. Cande met her husband Arnold M. Barfuss while he was stationed in Torrejon, Spain with the United States Air Force. They were married in Gibraltar, Great Britain 7 August 1985 and lived in Meco, Spain until her husband was transferred to Luke Air Force Base. She was sealed to her husband in the Mesa Arizona Temple 30 July 1988. She lived the rest of her life in Peoria, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Arnold M. Barfuss and her elder sisters Julia, Maria Teresa, and Antonia Sanchez Hita. Her nephews Vicente, Pablo, and Niece Maria Cardona Sanchez. She also had three Daughters, Noosala Cyr, Sherri Ramsey and Melodi Rios and 8 step Grandchildren. She worked for the Nature Conservancy for 10 years and the Arizona Department of Education for 10 years. Her last position was as CSPD- Program and Project Specialist Exceptional Student Services (ESS). The viewing will be Wednesday March 31, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Acoma Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7871 W. Acoma Dr. Peoria, Arizona. The Funeral will be held Thursday April 1, 2010 at the Peoria Arizona Stake Center at 10:00 a.m., 12951 N. 83 rd Ave. Peoria, Arizona. She will be laid to rest in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Advantage Maryvale Mortuary.
