McCoy, Walter T., 91, of Fountain Hills, AZ, passed away March 22, 2010. Born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, July 8, 1918, the middle child of 17 born to Jim and Mary McCoy. He served in the African Theatre during WWII, the Berlin Airlift, and the VietNam conflict. He retired from the US Air Force as Chief Warrant Officer-4 and moved with his wife and son to Arizona in 1970. He worked for the City of Tempe and later became the Senior Building Official for Maricopa Co. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ranken McCoy of Fountain Hills, son Shawn and his wife Susan of Arlington, VA, sister Ruth Wright and brother, Fr. Alfred E. McCoy of Iowa, and many nephews and nieces across the country. A Memorial Mass will be held at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ, on Monday, March 
29, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Family suggests contributions to Carl T. Hayden VAMC, Voluntary (135), 650 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ. 85012. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
