She was married to Angel (Lito) Tellez on Nov. 23, 1937. Together they had five beautiful children: Mary Cabral (deceased) Gloria Sierra, Eileen Ann Tellez (deceased), Angel (Lito Boy) Tellez, Jr. (deceased), and Katherine Provencio .
She moved to San Jose in 1981 after her husband retired from Phelps Dodge, but she always had a deep affection for the hills of old Morenci.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being in the mountains, camping, gardening, word search puzzles, cooking, going to dances and listening to mariachi music. Her dedication and commitment to her family were apparent to everyone who knew her. Her generosity and love were boundless.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Sierra and Kathy Provencio; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters.
Services were held in her honor Saturday, March 27, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford.
She was cherished and tremendously loved by her family, and she will be greatly missed.
