HAMILTON, Thomas R.


The Arizona Republic 4/2/2010 Hamilton, Thomas R. of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on March 30, 2010. Survived by his wife Jewell Hamilton (Jackie) of Phoenix, two daughters Sidonie Johnson of Denver Colorado and her husband Albert, Linda Gieser of Phoenix, Arizona and her husband David, grandchildren Christopher Gieser of Bermuda Dunes, California and his wife Lindsay, Thomas Johnson and Mariel Johnson of Denver, Colorado, great grandchild Riley Gieser of Bermuda Dunes, California. Thomas was born in Toronto, Canada and graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a Engineering Degree. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor in Joliet, Illinois after twenty years. He was a life member of both the American Legion and the VFW. He served in the European Theatre in WWII in the 95 Infantry Division and he earned the Bronze Star. He designed and had many patents working for Caterpillar which shaped the workings on their scrapers still in use today. Graveside services will be this coming Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Resthaven Park Cemetery located at 6450 W. Northern in Glendale, Arizona.
