Leonard Bahe, 56, died April 7, 2004 in Whiteriver.
Leonard was born Aug. 15, 1947 in Ganado and lived in Whiteriver. He was a loving, caring, smart, sweet and generous father, husband, grandpa, brother, relative and friend. Leonard loved to work outdoors. At home he would build fences. He built a patio deck and a concrete wall in front of his yard, and was near completing a backyard swing and other projects.
He was employed at Theodore Roosevelt School as the 21st Century Program coordinator until his death. Previously working for the White Mountain Apache Tribe for 23 years as a J.O.M. Director. Leonard loved working with young students and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed by many and cherished by all.
Leonard is survived by his wife Jocelynn Tate Bahe; sons, Derreck Wayne Bahe, Bryan Michael Bahe and Craig Darren Bahe; daughters, Carla Renae Bahe and Carmela Joy Bahe; grandson, Treshawn Michael Reed; granddaughters, Diamond Rae-Vaughn Bahe, Beyonce Halo Bahe and Bethany Lynn Bahe; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Lena Tate; brothers, Nelson Bahe, Bill Bahe and Dempsey Raye; sisters, Jaunita Bahe and Lorraine B. Yazzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kee and Etta Bahe.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 12 in the Miracle Church in Canyon Day with Bishop Leroy Tate officiating. Interment will be in the White Mourning Dove Cemetery in Cedar Creek.
Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements
