JONES, Charles Thomas


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/16/2004 Charles Thomas Jones, 1923-2004 was a member of the Boy Scouts of America from 1933-1935. He served his country honorably in the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps as a drill instructor while serving in the Marines at the Marine Corp Training Center in San Diego. He served in the Show Low Senior Patrol as police officer, under Chief John Corder. In his love of humanity, he donated his body to science, in an effort to find a cure for cancer and other depilating diseases of aging. Charles appreciated the care and respectful way he was treated with RTA Hospice with dignity in his last days. He expressed gratitude to Doctor Moffat and staff for going the extra mile and enjoyed the talks. He also mentioned Gene Lyman for all the visits and his help over the years. His life was made more enjoyable because of his friendship. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Alison) Jones; son Curtis Jones; son Daniel Holmes (Lynette) of Payson, Utah; brothers Don Jones (Nancy), Jim Jones (Helen); sister, Corrie Weest; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, Betty Walter, Carol Rodrigres, Bonnie Clemhart, Theresa Squires, Connie and Jennifer Jones; nephews, James L. Jones, Jr., Daniel and Scott Jones, Sam and Robert Jones, Raymond Jones, Mark and Scott Jones, dog Pepper (Jack Russell).
