MAXWELL, John Christian

Wickenburg (AZ) Graphic Friday, July 31, 1931, p 5 c 2 Funeral services were held Monday for John Maxwell, Phoenix machine shop employee, who died at Whittman, near here, Sunday from a stroke. He became ill at the little town south of here while enroute, with his family, to Prescott. His wife rushed him to the hospital here but it is believed that the man was dead before she reached this city. The excited woman called out the local fire department, thinking that her husband might be revived by use of a pullmotor. The fire department, which answered the call immediately, does not have a pullmotor. He is survived by his widow, two daughters and a son.
