Iris L. Widmark, 84, a long time resident of Scottsdale, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2002.
Iris was born on a farm near Kingsley, Iowa in 1918 where she was raised with her sister Lois and brothers Dean and Clair.
She married Robert E. Widmark, February 28, 1941. He was in the U.S. Navy where he served in World War II and is a Pearl Harbor survivor. Iris and Robert moved to Arizona in 1955. She worked for the Scottsdale School District for 26 years, and was an active member of the Scottsdale United Methodist Church. Iris and Robert enjoyed years of service and meetings of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and many life-long friends.
Iris is survived by her husband Robert, son Erik, daughter Tamara, daughter-in-law Lucinda, and grandchildren Jessica, Dallas, Erika, Jamaal and Kamara. Please join us for a celebration of her life-work those who loved her and will forever miss her.
Services Saturday, December 14, 2002, Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 4140 North Miller Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85252 (480-946-5301).
