GOMEZ,
Edward Albert (Ed) Robles
The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona - 04/23/2004
Edward Albert Gomez, aka, Ed Eddy Edward MacAlbert Robles Gomez, 87, went to his final home peacefully in his sleep March 28, 2004.
Edward was born March 4, 1917. He was the grandson of Tucson Pioneer, Bernabe Robles and worked as the property manager for the family. He was a Golden Glove Boxer, and volunteered his time at Mt. Lemmon helping the youth with boxing seminars.
He resided in Tucson most of his life where he enjoyed landscaping his homes, lifting weights, drawing and always enjoyed good food. For four years he lived with his daughter and family in Pinetop, enjoyed camping, boating, traveling, weekly lunches at Charlie Clarks and BBQ's with family and friends.
His stories of his family and growing up in Tucson, his "crazy" sense of humor and his stride with his cane in his patriarch way shall always be missed.
He is survived by his daughter Lesley Marie Gahagan; son-in-law Robert James Gahagan; daughter Tiffany Ellan Dodd; son, Kevin James Gahagan; and granddaughter Christi Ryan Gahagan.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lesley Meredith, son Richard Loren, and granddaughter Kathleen Lesley Gahagan.
A celebration of his life will be held May 8, at Cushing Street Restaurant, 198 W. Cushing St. in Tucson at noon. Come and share stories on his special day. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
