Kathleen D. Masters went home with God on March 28, 2010. She was born Kathleen Ann Dennison on Aug. 7, 1943, in La Jolla, Calif.
She finished high school in Raton, N.M., received her bachelor of science in chemistry from Stanford University in 1963, her master's in chemistry from Cornell University in 1966, and her juris doctorate from Arizona State University in 1977. She clerked for Justice Jack Hayes of the Arizona Supreme Court and practiced law in Phoenix for 25 years before retreating to Prescott. She was an active member of the Prescott United Methodist Church where she was nurtured and loved and served on many committees.
She will be greeted in heaven by her grandparents, Jack and Alice Murphy and William and Ann Dennison; her father, William K. Dennison; her mother, Eileen Murphy Dennison; her brother William Edward Dennison; and many uncles, aunts and cousins including Annabelle Braden (Aunt Jerry) and Margaret Ellen Dailey (Aunt Tommy). She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Madsen; her daughters Yvonne Marie Masters and Jeanine Margaret Cordova; and her granddaughters, MariMargaret Jean and Calysta Francine.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 West Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathleen's name to "Open Door," c/o Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 West Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
The family is being cared for by Heritage Memory Mortuary in Prescott, Ariz.
