Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, April 8, 2010 Betty Randolph Devereaux, 89, of Carson City, Nev., died Saturday, April 3, 2010, in Las Vegas. Mrs. Devereaux was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Winslow and was raised in Winslow and Flagstaff. She was a retired waitress and was a member of the Rebeccas. She enjoyed sewing. Mrs. Devereaux is survived by daughters Betty Payne of Carson City, Clara Oldfield of Los Lunas, N.M., Judy Karr of Reno, Nev., Sandy Askin of Starks, La., and Peggy Owen of Las Vegas; sisters Virgie Thompson of Anderson, Calif., Karla Clements of Las Vegas, and Sue Simkins of Pahrump, Nev.; brother Austin Payne of Henderson, Nev.; 26 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons George Randolph and Ellmer Lee Randolph; and daughters Doris Randolph Hall and Charlotte Randolph Wilson. A service will be Saturday at Deep Root Christian Church, 4161 N. Rancho Drive, in Las Vegas. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, in Las Vegas.
