The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/14/2004 Earl J. Scott, 85, died in Mesa May 9, 2004. He was born and raised in Pomerene in Southern Arizona. After graduating from Benson High School he attended Arizona State University for two years. Mr. Scott became an Industrial Machinist and worked at Motorola in Phoenix for eleven years. He lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for ten years and then returned to Phoenix. He has lived in Maricopa for the past two years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of The Maricopa Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He survived by his wife, Irene Scott of Maricopa; four sons, Dean Scott of Maricopa, Rick Scott of Magna, Utah, Cliff Scott of Miami, Florida, Ken Scott of Maricopa; three daughters, Elaine Schneider of Florissant, Colorad, Ruth Powell of Phoenix, Theresa Myer of Kamas, Utah; three brothers, Clinton Scott of Fruitland, New Mexico, Ronald Scott of Corpus Christi, Texas, Guy Scott of Safford; one sister, Dora Corbett of West Valley City, Utah; 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary M. Scott in January 2000. Funeral Services were held Thursday May 13, 2004 at the Maricopa Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Maricopa.
