The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/25/2004 Bruce J. Mortensen, 69, of Show Low died May 19, 2004. He worked for the US Forest Service for 32 years retiring in 1993. Bruce was a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather and was respected by all. He was an outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Jo Mortensen of Show Low; four daughters, Carolynne (Ron) Nichols of Florida, Jeannine (Bryan) Elkins of Lakeside, Donna (Charlie) Bush of California; Diane Cook of California; two sons, Kelly (Rona) Mortensen of Texas, Kenneth (Lori Ann) Mortensen of Florida; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday May 25, at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 300 N. 11th Street.
