Domingo Serrano Soto, 88, of Safford, entered into rest Tuesday, April 6, at his home in Safford, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Mexico to Valentine and Regina Soto. He married Maggie on June 25, 1946, in New Mexico.
Domingo served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, watching soaps with Gram, PR, WOF, horse racing, and scratch tickets. He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, was a devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie; sons, Danny, Ray and Mikey; daughters, Olga and Gloria; brothers, Joe and Roman; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ray; granddaughter, Brandi; and great-grandson, Isaiah Daniel.
Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, 112 East Main Street, Safford. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, with Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with military honors to follow.
