Lorna JoAnn Orneside, 85, died in Show Low May 30, 2004.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to a large family. She attended school and remained in Minnesota for the next 40 years. She then moved to Phoenix and met Olaf Orneside. They lived there until his passing in 1972. In the lat 80s Lorna moved to White Mountain Lakes where she loved watching the birds and she was a devoted member of Community Baptist Church. She had a strong faith in God.
Lorna had a life long career as secretary for the US Department of Agriculture. She was an honorary member of the Navajo County Sheriff's Department mounted unit.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Christina (Robert) Watson of Woodland Park, Colorado, Randy Moore of Colorado, Heather (Cesar) Sanchez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jason (Samantha) Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 2, at the Show Low Cemetery.
