The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 06/08/2004 Harriet L. Domas died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Navapache Regional Medical Center at the age of 85. Mrs. Domas was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was raised in Chicago. After completing high school she went into nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in hospitals in the Chicago area until she moved to Arizona in 1968. She then was on the Nursing Pool Register and worked in some of the Phoenix hospitals. First and foremost, Harriet was a mother and a grandmother. She loved being with her family, was an avid reader and loved to study and learn. She was also an accomplished pianist and loved good music. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Domas is survived by her daughter, Patty Fusco and sons, Dennis and Paul Domas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all of Peoria. She also leaves one sister, Dorothy Heckle of Phoenix. The family is planning a gathering of memories at their home in Peoria. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
