The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 06/08/2004 Gretchen Kasimir Pearman died peacefully Sunday, May 30, 2004. She was born in 1928 in Buffalo, New York where she met and married Ken Pearman in 1944. A love of Arizona was born on a return from Disneyland with her boys, and the family moved to Tucson in 1958. She worked as a secretary for the Sunnyside School District for 20 plus years and is remembered fondly for teaching German to Liberty Elementary students. After retirement, she and her husband Ken made their home in the White Mountains, where Gretchen remained following Ken's death in Oct. 1998. Gretchen is survived by her sister, Dolores Kasimir Love; her three sons, Pete (Edie), Ken (Linda), Randy (Jo); her grandchildren: Shauna, Janie, Traci, Melissa, Aileen, Jason; and four great-grandchildren. Her family will miss the sound of her laughter. Her life was celebrated by her family and friends Sunday, June 6. In lieu of flowers her family requests donations be made in her name to the American Lung Association. Arrangements made by Desert Rose in Tucson.
