Copper Basin News Hayden, Az 15 April 2010 Cynthia Magallanez, 21 of Dudleyville, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in Dudleyville. She was born Nov. 15, 1988 in Tucson to Robert and Doreena Magallanez. Cynthia attended Hayden High School where she was a cheerleader and graduated in 2007. Planning to be a dental assistant, she was currently attending Rio Salado Community College. Cynthia was a wonderful cook and loved to bake. What she enjoyed most in life was being with her family and friends, whom she loved dearly. Miss Magallanez is survived by her parents, Robert and Doreena Gonzales Magallanez of Dudleyville; brother, Robert J. (Clarissa Merino) Magallanez of Gilbert; grandmothers, Sylvia Gonzales of Hayden and Alice Magallanez of Kearny; stepsister Jennifer (Gregg) Compos of Nevada; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Tony Gonzales and Manuel Magallanez. Funeral services for Miss Magallanez will be held Saturday, April 17, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden. Father Dale Branson will recite the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden. The family was assisted by Griffith Mortuary.
