Gary Dean Archibeque, 39, died June 19, 2004 in Show Low.
Gary was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico and was raised in Vaughn, New Mexico. After graduating from high school he attended college in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He married Barbara Chavez and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, together they raised their daughter Erin. In 1997 they moved to Show Low.
Gary worked at Foxworth Galbraith and as a reserve fire fighter. Gary met Stacy Wilson and they were married May 24 of last year. Gary loved Stacy's two children and was in the process of adopting them.
Gary loved fishing and hunting. Occasionally he would go golfing. He loved sports and was very involved in basketball, football and track during his youth.
He is survived by his wife Stacy of Show Low; daughter Erin (Kyle) Dowdy of Mesa; Stacy's children, Shawn and Amber; his parents, Norbert and Barbara Archibeque of Vaughn, New Mexico; two brothers, Norbert (Joan) Archibeque of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Justin Archibeque of Vaughn, New Mexico; one sister Margaret (Hank) Vigil of Albuquerque, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; and Stacy's grandparents, Tom and Carm Kemper of Arivaca; grandson Kyesun.
A Rosary was held Thursday, June 24 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Show Low. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25 at St. Rita's, with a visitation one hour prior to the Rosary and mass.
On Sunday, June 27 there will be a Rosary in Vaughn, New Mexico. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28 at St. Mary's in Vaughn, New Mexico. A visitation and gathering will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Show Low Jr. High North Campus Gym.
