STEINKE, Alfred Allen, Jr.


Lamont Mortuary of Globe Globe, Arizona Alfred Allen Steinke Jr., 81, of Globe died Jan. 20, 2005, at Cobre Valley Community Hospital. He was born in Globe. He was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a hoisting engineer at Inspiration Copper Company for 36 years. He was a great-great-great-grandson of Kitt Carson. He grew up ranching, being a cowboy and prospecting. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Steinke of Globe; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Gary Davidson of Guntersville, W. Jean and Ken Gering from Idaho, and Betty and Bob Fuller of Globe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Veronica Steinke of Rawlins, Wyo., and David and Paula Steinke of Globe; 17 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted Jan. 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Globe Stake Center. Interment was in Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were under the direction of Lamont Mortuary of Globe. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cobre Valley Community Hospital, 5880 S. Hospital Drive, Globe, AZ 85501.
