ENSIGN, Alice Marie


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, April 15, 2010 Alice Marie Ensign, 84, formerly of Flagstaff, died April 10, 2010, in Elsie, Mich. She was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, Michigan. She worked for W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., in Flagstaff for 20 years and for Stanley Home Products. She was a member of United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing, helping elderly church members clean their homes, spending time with her friends and family, playing her organ and caring for her cats. She is survived by daughters Linda (Don) Rosser of Elsie, Elizabeth Elliott of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cathy (Duane) Hampton of Portage, Mich.; sons Larry (Orean) of Holt, Mo., and David of Flagstaff; brother Walter Horton of Owosso, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents Elmo and Ella Walter Horton; and sisters Annabelle Heath and Dorothy Fulford. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Elsie. A service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the same location. Smith Family Funeral Home of Elsie is handling arrangements.
