Dennis Eugene Ferguson 1941 - 2010
Dennis Eugene Ferguson, 69, of Cottonwood died March 28. He was born February 17, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, the son of George and Margaret (Mahoney) Ferguson.
He was a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale. Dennis worked as an executive chef for many prominent resorts. He also taught class and was a chef at the Culinary Institute where he cooked for prominent clients including President Ronald Reagan and Arnold Palmer.
He later found his true calling in helping others. He ran a chapter five halfway house as long as health would allow him.
A proud Irish Catholic, he was also an avid fisherman who caught a record twenty pound trout in the seventies.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Irene Hardy.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Dunn of Washington, Julie Ann Sies of Arizona, Kathleen M. Graham of Arizona, and Pam Catching of Washington; brothers Skip Ferguson and Brendan Ferguson, both of California.
