EAST, Maggie Mae

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/13/2004 Maggie Mae East, 91, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at The Payson Care Center after a few months of failing health. Maggie was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana. She lived in California for several years and during World War II she worked for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. In 1963 she moved to Snowflake. After moving to Snowflake Maggie became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her son, Simon East of Snowflake; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
