Funeral services for Jessica Hunt, 17, of Thatcher were conducted Wednesday, Dec.18, 2002, at Thatcher LDS Stake Center by Bishop Bill Mullenaux of the Thatcher Fifth Ward. Concluding services followed in the Thatcher Cemetery.
Jessica Delight Hunt was born April 10, 1985, in Farmington, N. M., the daughter of Dell and Joyce Hunt. She spent the early years of her life there. In 1987, following the passing of her father, her family relocated to Thatcher. Jessica attended Thatcher schools. She was a special person who brought joy and happiness to many people. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thatcher Fifth Ward; she received her Young Woman's Medallion. On Nov. 2 of this year, Jessica received her endowments at the Arizona Mesa Temple. Jessica passed away Sunday, Dec. 15. Her courage and zest for life will not be soon forgotten.
Jessica is survived by: her mother and father, Joyce and David Keim of Thatcher; her three sisters, Jeanne Conner of Apache Junction, Becca Dixon of Thatcher and Jennifer Cogburn of Thatcher; three brothers, Joseph Porter of Belton, Texas, Mark Porter of El Paso, Texas, and Caleb Hunt of Thatcher; her grandparents, Chester and Delight Neeley of Thatcher; her aunts, Julia Pearson of Oracle and Jeanne Neeley of Mesa; her uncles, Rex Neeley of Longview, Texas, Terry Neeley and Kevin Neeley, each of Mesa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Dell Hunt, in 1987, and her grandparents, Lester and Mary Hunt.
The family received friends Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, at Bunker's Caldwell Chapel. Further visitation was scheduled for Wednesday morning at the Thatcher L.D.S. Stake Center Relief Society Room.
Arrangements were en-trusted to Bunker's Caldwell Chapel.
