GILL, Gertrude Rheb (Trude)

Gertrude Rheb "Trude" Gill left this world on May 6, 2003. - Affectionately known as "Tutu" by her family, she was born in New York, NY on December 29, 1915 and attended the Hunter Model School. She and her beloved husband, John, later moved to Manhasset, New York and were members of the Nassau Country Club. They moved to Paradise Valley in 1979. Trude was an avid golfer and a member of the Paradise Valley Country Club. She was a bridge player and a dog enthusiast and loved to travel. "Tutu" was always in style and known for her party-giving and moves on the dance floor. She resided at Westminster Village for the last 12 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John, and loving grandson, John Randolph "Randy" Meyer, she is survived by daughters, Karen Gill Meyer of Paradise Valley and Celeste Gill "Candy" Stevens of Hinsdale, IL as well as three grandchildren, Kristin Meyer and Gill and Cara Stevens. Services will be held at 11AM Saturday at Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ. The family requests memorials be sent to either Westminster Village Foundation, 12000 N 90th St. Scottsdale, AZ 85260 or The Randy Meyer Scholarship Fund, Brophy Prep, 4701 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
