Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, March 25, 2007 George McCullough, died Friday, March 23, 2007, surrounded by his loving family after a battle with cancer. He was 81. Mr. McCullough was born March 5, 1926, and raised in Flagstaff and after graduating from Flagstaff High School, he served two years in the Navy before attending, then graduating from, Notre Dame in 1950. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy; and their four children, John (Debbie), Mark (Judy), Margaret (Mike Bradley) and Tim (Macrina); along with five grandchildren and numerous extended family members. Charity was an essential part of Mr. McCullough's life. He was associated with the same Boy Scout Troop for 50 years, first as a scout and then as a dedicated leader. Years ago, he teamed with others to form the Coconino Humane Association and for years was president of that organization. He was also one of the moving forces behind the Flagstaff Family Food Center. His wit and humor, love of golf and gift of photography will be missed by all who knew him. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday and the funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at the Nativity of the BVM Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
