Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, October 17, 2004 Lois Lakin Lockett, 92, of Camp Verde, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004. She was born May 2, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Lloyd and Ethyl Lakin. She attended Kennelworth Elementary in Phoenix, Phoenix Union High School and Mills College in Claifornia. Mrs. Lockett was a retired commercial artist and also worked in quarter horse production and management with her husband. She spent summers on the ranch in Flagstaff for many years. She enjoyed hunting, sketching, painting, ranchwork and poetry writing. She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Lockett Jr. of Prescott and Joseph Lockett of Camp Verde; brother Charles Austin Lakin of Phoenix; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert Wallace Lockett; and two sisters, Barbara Miller and Meredith Tiffany, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
