Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona - 4/17/2010 SAM HINTON, SR., age 73, of Peridot, passed away April 10, 2010 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa. Worked many jobs but was mainly a cowboy. Wake begins Saturday 4/17 at 4:00 PM at the Hinton residence in Lower Peridot. Funeral Services will be Sunday, April 18th at 1:00 PM at the San Carlos Miracle Church in Chinatown. Sam was born in San Carlos, Ariz. on Jan. 13, 1937, son of Peter and Edna (Daily) Hinton. Sam was a cowboy and rancher and a lifetime resident of Arizona. He is survived by his wife Freida (Mallow) Hinton of Peridot, Ariz.; sons, Ernie (Becky) Hinton, Sr. of Peridot, Sam Hinton, Jr. of Peridot, Jerry (Chantel) Hinton of Peridot, Delbert Hinton of Peridot, Robert (Mary) Hinton of Bowie, Ariz., Jimmy Hinton of Bowie; daughters, Paula (Javis) Hinton-Cosay of Peridot, and Carol (Joey) Hinton-Clark of Peridot; brother, Wilbur Hinton of Whiteriver, Ariz.; sister, Evelyn Grimes of Bylas, Ariz.; 33 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Services were held on April 18 at the San Carlos Miracle Church. Interment is at Lower Peridot Cemetery - Six Mile Cemetery in Peridot, Ariz. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary.
