GILBERT, Sharon Rae

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/23/2004 Sharon Rae Gilbert, 55, died July 16, 2004 in Show Low. She was born in Riverton, Wyoming and moved to San Francisco and them Orange County as a child. She graduated from Garden Grove High School and met Don Gilbert in 1970. They were married shortly after and had two children, Paul and Troy. In 1984 they moved to White Mountain Lakes. Sharon dearly loved the area and her home. She spent her time taking care of the house and gardening. Sharon's passion was country music, which she enjoyed listening to and watching on CMT. She especially liked Alan Jackson and George Strait. She was a wonderful mother and wife, will be missed by all. Sharon is survived by her husband, Don of White Mountain Lakes; two sons, Paul Gilbert of Taylor, Troy Gilbert of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers, Danny (Kathy) Rodgers, Max (Kathy) Rodgers, Bob (Peg) Rodgers all of California; one sister, Pauline (Stanley) Gordon of Wyoming; one brother-in-law, Allen Gorman of Parker; many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene and JoAnn. Memorial Services for Sharon will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday July 24, 2004 at Owens Mortuary Chapel in Show Low.
