The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/23/2004 Marjorie Taylor, 67, died July 18, 2004 at her home in Snowflake following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in the house where she passed away. In fact she lived in the same home for all but six years of her life. She received her education in Snowflake and graduated from Snowflake Union High School in 1954. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas. After her mission she lived in Utah for two years. She then returned to Snowflake and met William D. Taylor and they were married in the Mesa Temple Jan. 23, 1963. They made their home in Snowflake and purchased the Rogers family home and lived there ever since. Margie served in the auxiliaries in the LDS Church, including twice as Relief Society President. For the past four years she had worked at the Bishop's Store House. She enjoyed quilting and playing softball. She also enjoyed camping in the White Mountains with her family. Margie is survived by her husband, Bill of Snowflake; three sons, Terry of Joseph City, Greg of Winslow and Ray of Joyce, Washington; one daughter, Nicole Rindlisbacher of Snowflake; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Daryl Rogers of Winslow; and four sisters, Geneva Willis of Snowflake, Mabel Wilhelm of St. Johns, Nyla DeWitt of Phoenix and Linda Anderson of Gilbert. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior to services and from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 23 at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake.
