SORENSEN, Walter Edward

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/30/2004 Walter Edward Sorensen, 81, died July 25, 2004 in Show Low. He was born in Waterford, New York in 1922. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served his country during WWII. He met Frances Loveless in Rochester, New York and they were married in 1942. They had three sons Stephen, Christian, and David. Walter was a life long ironworker and continued that career when he moved to Mesa in the 1970's. In 1988 he moved to the White Mountain's where he enjoyed leisure time and working in his metal and woodworking shop. Walter was a resident of Show Low for 15 years and a life member of the Show Low VFW and life long 32nd Degree Mason. Walter is survived by his wife, Frances of Show Low; two sons, Stephen Sorensen of Connecticut and David (Christine) Sorensen of Florida. He was preceded in death by one son, Christian.
