Christobel "Chris" Maude Magill, 90, died April 11, 2010, in Williams. She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Safford, to Samuel and Maude Paxton.
She worked for more than 38 years as a lookout for the Kaibab National Forest. In the 1930s, she was a Harvey Girl at the Grand Canyon.
Mrs. Magill is survived by her daughter, Sandra Yrigoyen; son Matthew Magill; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Birdie" Magill; her parents; brothers Douglas and Roy Paxton; and her sister, Wilma Kline.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Williams, 629 W. Grant Ave. (directly south of Safeway).
