Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, Phoenix, Arizona Mercedes "Maisie" Nieto Mercedes "Maisie" Nieto, 80, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on April 19, 2010. She was a virtuous woman, proud Jehovah's Witness, great cook and avid gardener who enjoyed birds, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Josefa Rangel. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Benito Nieto, children, Lisa McKenna (Jeff), Leah Pearson (Dale), Mats Nieto (Carla), Ruben Nieto (Toni) and Stella Cortes (Atanasio), 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and siblings, Lillie Lopez, Frank Rangel, Joe Rangel and Lucy Rocha. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. with Funeral Services at 1:30 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
