Beulah "Bea" Lanners, 76, died August 5, at the Carriage House in Snowflake.
She was born in Mobeetie, Texas April 15, 1928. Bea lived there through her early youth. In her high school years the family moved to Oak Ridge Tennessee. She graduated from high school there. In 1949 she married Calvin R. Lanners, they lived in Texas for a time before moving to Farmington, New Mexico in 1953.
In 1962 they moved to Window Rock, and then to Whiteriver where Calvin worked for the Public Health Service. They moved to Truth or Consequences, NM and they lived there from 1990 until Calvin passed away in 1998 and they Bea came to Show Low. Bea was a homemaker and she loved gardening and canning. She was a seamstress and an artist. She was a religious lady all of her life and she loved gospel music.
Bea is survived by her daughter, Carole (Vaughn) Thompson of Show Low, Cheryl (Dennis) King of Linden; four grandchildren, Shannon Leigh Thompson, S. Vaughn (Diana) Thompson, Rachelle King, Scott King; five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin in July 1, 1998.
Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 10, at the Show Low Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday Aug. 9, at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
