Theo Austin Reidhead, 81, died Aug. 12, 2004 at home in Heber.
Theo was born in Snowflake Jan. 8, 1923, and raised in his early years on a ranch between Airpine and Heber. He graduated from eighth grade in Airpine, then went to high school in Snowflake. He has lived in Heber for 65 years and was a truck driver and mechanic. "Pappy" best known to his friends and family will be best remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor and quick wit, his friendliness with everyone never knew a stranger and his love of music. He could play any string instrument. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the World War II Army Infantry.
He is survived by his wife Carrie Nadine Harris Reidhead and seven children, Julie Reidhead, Lynne Reidhead, April Blair, Kim Reidhead, Marcus Reidhead, Lena Nichols, Derek Reidhead; 32 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Austin (Dutch) Reidhead and Rose Mary Merrill, (older sister) Helen Webb, Jack Reidhead (younger brother); sister June Brewer.
A viewing will be held at LDS Chapel in Heber Aug. 19 from 7-8:30 a.m.; Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m. Burial will be held in the Heber Cemetery in Heber.
