BARENTINE, John Bruce

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, April 21, 2010, A-7 John Bruce Barentine, 57, of Longmont, Colo., passed away on Jan. 17. He was born in Lakeview, Ore., on Aug. 11, 1952 to Emil and Katherine Barentine, who preceded him in death. He is survived by wife Delsia; sons John C. and Brent J. Barentine, sister Jan Klein, nephews and nieces including “Butterbean” Ann Shikles. He served in U.S. Army with an honorable discharge. He was the facilities manager for Arizona Automobile Association and several companies in Colorado. John moved from Arizona to Colorado in 1998, where he and his family hiked and grew to love Rocky Mountain National Park. He will be dearly missed by family, friends, coworkers, and “Al” the dog, with whom he is now hiking the trails of Colorado. You are invited to a casual Celebration of Life, which will be held in the large ramada at Goldwater Lake in Prescott, Ariz., on April 25 at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A private Inurnment will be held at West Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale, Ariz., for family members only. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
