Barron Allen Prentice of Alachua, Florida, a former Wickenburg resident, died on Wednesday, March 23, 1993, as the result of a truck accident. He was 48.
Mr. Prentice was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but had lived in Alachua most of his life. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nora "Nicki" Prentice of Alachua; son, Barron A. "Bear" Prentice II of Alachua; daughters Bobbi Jo DeGraw of Boise, Idaho, Toni Lyn Prentice of Palm Harbor and Crisi Jean Prentice of Alachua; his parents, C. K. and Ina Prentice of Alachua; brothers Ronnie of Miami, Paul of Anchorage, Alaska, and Clyde of Alachua; sisters Sylvia King of Fairbanks, Alaska and Karen Underwood of Anchorage, Alaska; grandsons Dusty Shane DeGraw and Garrett Melvin DeGraw, both of Boise, Idaho; and nephew Darrell "Skip" Cordi of Wickenburg.
Funeral services have been held. Draper Underwood conducted the services. Evans Funeral Home of High Springs, Florida, handled the arrangements.
