ALLEN, Lester Clark


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 7, 1993 Lester Clark Allen of Congress died Sunday, April 4, 1993, in Congress. He was 87. Mr. Allen was born May 16, 1905, in Weyerhauser, Wisconsin, and had lived in Long Beach, Calif., for 20-plus years where he sold cars and was also a member of the Mounted Police. He worked for the Parker Dam Fishing Village in Arizona until 1964 when he moved to Congress to become a horse breeder at the S Lazy A Ranch. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mae, of Congress; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Bonnie Allen; sisters Geraldine Rice and Margaret Jeanne Harris, all of Hemet, Calif., daughters Jeanne Gee of Kirkland, Washington, and Lesalee Bren of Los Angeles; niece Ann Harding of Irving, N. Y.; eight grandchildren including his caretaker, Linda Jeanne Church of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren. At Mr. Allen's request, he has been cremated and his ashes have been scattered over the desert. There will be no formal memorial services.
