The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 7, 1993 Helen F. Lucas of Phoenix died Friday, April 2, 1993, in Avondale. She was 73. Mrs. Lucas was born Sept. 25, 1919 at Canon City, was raised in Thermopolis, Wyoming, and had lived in Arizona for 56 years. She was a mother, writer and a poet. She is survived by son, Albert Lucas of Oregon; daughter Valerie Lucas of Avondale; grandchildren Julia Young, Amy Young, Rachel Young and Naomi Young, all of Avondale, and Sam Young of Las Vegas; and sisters Mary Bordin and Irene Flahaut, winter residents of Wickenburg. Family services will be held at Estrella Mountain Park Thursday, April 8, 1993, at 1 p.m. and interment will be in Wyoming. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Disease Research, 350 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg handled all arrangements.
