ROWTON, Mattie Elizabeth

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 10, 1993 Mattie Elizabeth Rowton of Avondale, a former Wickenburg resident, died Monday, March 1, 1993. She was 88. Mrs. Rowton was born April 11, 1904 at Center Point, Arkansas, and had lived in Arizona for 11 years. Mrs. Rowton was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Sam of Avondale; daughters Loriane Crane of Avondale, Mae Crofoot of Silver Lake, Oregon, June Pickett of Coosbay, Oregon, Barbara Smith of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Darlene Gutierrez of North Plains, Ore.; brother Bruce Wells of Litchfield, 47 grandchildren, more than 100 great-grandchildren and 35 -great-great-grandchildren. Services have been held with entombment in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mike McCarty officiated. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
