SIMMON, Nancy Jo


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 10, 1993 Nancy Jo Simmon of Scottsdale, a former Wickenburg resident, died Tuesday, February 9, 1993, at the Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. She was 55. Mrs. Simmon was born August 8, 1937 in Henderson, Texas, and had been an Arizona resident for 18 years, moving here from Atlanta, Georgia. She was a retired school teacher from the Creighton School District in Phoenix and was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, majoring in music. She was a member of St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church in Paradise Valley, a member of Beta Sigma Sorority, Delta Omicron Music Sorority and Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Mrs. Simmon is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Curtis Robinson of Colorado; daughter Lynn Michelle Fulbright of Alameda, Calif.; sister Michel Denton of Wickenburg; and an aunt, Frances Moore of Iowa. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas on the Desert Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Lane, Paradise Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arizona Lung Association, 102 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85003. Messinger Mortuary of Scottsdale handled the arrangements.
